Introduction
Kakospreadsheet is a product discovery platform — we do not sell products or process returns. All purchases are made through third-party external platforms, and return/refund policies are managed entirely by those platforms. This guide explains how the return process typically works.
How Returns Work
Returns when buying through external purchase platforms work differently from regular online shopping. There are generally two scenarios:
- Before international shipping (QC stage) — If you're not satisfied with QC photos, you can usually request a return to the Chinese seller through the external platform. This is often free or costs a small domestic shipping fee
- After international shipping — Returns after the package has been shipped internationally are typically much more difficult and expensive, as you would need to ship the item back to China
QC Photos — Your Best Protection
Quality Check (QC) photos are your most important tool when buying through external purchase platforms. When items arrive at the platform's warehouse, detailed photos are taken for your review. This is your opportunity to inspect the item before it ships internationally. Always carefully review QC photos for defects, incorrect sizes, or wrong items. Returning during the QC stage is significantly easier and cheaper than after international shipping.
Refund Process
When a return is approved by the seller, refunds are handled according to the external platform's policy, often as platform balance credit rather than a refund to your original payment method. Processing times vary by platform and seller, usually taking 3-7 business days. Check the platform's specific terms for details on refund eligibility and timelines.
